Dog Owner appreciates work of homes for hounds
By: Brooke Daniel, and Tyler Radabaugh
The St. Clare Walker Middle School Technology Student Association (TSA) construction challenge team has received feedback from a member of the community, whom received one of the doghouses that the team constructed. The doghouse is currently in use by a loving dog named Bella. The Homes for Hounds organization began their journey with nothing but tools and wood shipping pallets. Then, they constructed doghouses, assembled out of reclaimed lumber, and painted them for future beneficiaries. Bridgett Ceballos is a recipient of one of the doghouses. She said, “Bella, my dog, loves the new house. She even has her name painted over the door. Bella is the perfect size and she loves laying her paws down on the porch after a long hot day.” Also, Homes for Hounds has donated the rest of the doghouses to the Middlesex County Animal Shelter to be distributed as members of the community need them. Please call 804-758-2779 for any interest in a doghouse or scheduling a visit to adopt a pet. TSA construction challenge team members include Brooke Daniel, Chloe Hodges, Saylor Jenson, Danielle Jones, Cole Radabaugh, Tyler Radabaugh, and TSA chapter advisor Matthew Short.
